Preparing for Full Mouth X-Rays

- Inform the Technologist: If you are pregnant or think you may be, inform the technologist before the procedure begins. Dental X-rays are low in radiation, but special precautions may be taken to minimize exposure during pregnancy.
- Remove Oral Appliances: If you wear dentures, retainers, or mouthguards, remove them before the X-ray. These can obstruct the imaging process and affect the quality of the results.
- Follow Instructions: The technologist will provide instructions, such as standing or sitting in a specific position and staying still while the X-ray machine rotates around your head. Follow these directions carefully to ensure clear images are captured.
